The head of our staff is Mike Romanski, Manager of Foster's Shoes. He has been managing the Regina location since the first store opened in 1992, and has been with Foster's Shoes since 1990. Mike is a Certified Pedorthist - Canada, Certified Pedorthist - Board of Certified Pedorthics, Certified Pedorthics Technician - Canada, and has over 20 years experience in the Shoe/Pedorthic industry. Mike designed the Pedorthic facility that Fosters Shoes is currently in and was pleased to have it accredited by the College of Pedorthics in Canada for Manufacturing Dispensing of Custom Orthotics/Orthoses. Mike led his team in 2009 to a Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Market Place Ethics in the Retail Category. Mike is married with four children and is proud to call Regina home. Mike and his family have been involved in the community for many years now, including activities such as Ringette, Volleyball, and more recently Cheerleading, the Regina Ski Club and 4, 5, 6 fun hockey league.
Ruth Lugrin has been employed at Foster's Shoes for over 16 years. A Pro Care® Certified shoe fitter, Ruth is called on frequently by our customers for her extensive footwear knowledge and fitting expertise. Ruth truly sets the standard at Foster's for attention to customer service while assisting Owner/Manager Mike Romanski to run the business. When not enjoying the beautiful Qu'Appelle Valley and family, Ruth is energetically clearing brush, clearing shelves or clearing space for pedorthic appointments.
Jeanine Mann has been with Foster's Shoes since October of 2005. After completing the required training and passing her examination with the College of Pedorthics of Canada, she received her Canadian Pedorthic Technician designation. As part of the Pedorthic team, she assists in the manufacturing, adjusting and dispensing of custom orthotics. She is also responsible for maintaining the inventory in the fully accredited pedorthic lab and assisting with shoes repairs and adjustments. Jeanine is married and has three grown children. She and her husband Ed are happy to call Regina home.
Rodney Ashfield, our newest Canadian Certified Pedorthic Technician, has a 20+ years of successful employment in counseling, community-based rehabilitation services and NGO administration. Rodney brings well-developed skills in customer service along with experience working with people with physical disabilities to both the retail and pedorthic aspects of Foster’s Shoes. He and his wife live in Regina with their two grown children and have begun joyfully planning their bucket lists.
Our next employee who has his Pro Care® shoe fitter certification is employee Vic Begonia. Vic has over 30 years of experience in the shoe industry, making him and his personable attitude a benefit to Foster's Shoes. As a former handball player, Vic moves quickly to meet the needs of our customers.
David Federko, who was born and raised in small town Saskatchewan, brings to Foster's Shoes many valuable years of experience working as a Radiological Technician, Health Care Administrator and some retail experience. He has been employed at Foster’s Shoes for over a year. David’s philosophy of customer service is to treat all people with respect, honesty and sincerity. David lives in Regina with Brenda, his wife for 22 years. They have two sons, Rogan and Bevan, who are completing their post-secondary education in Journalism (U of R) and Computer Systems Technology (SIAST, Saskatoon).
Chris Carter comes to Foster's Shoes - Regina from a highly successful sales background at Pennington's, where she was recently one of the top 40 Sales Associates from stores all across Canada. As a former small business owner, Chris knows that customers value our attention to detail and the right fit. When not working, Chris and her husband enjoy spending time with their three grandchildren.
