History of Foster's Shoes

August 1st 1980

Fitting people in better footwear has been a passion for Hilda and Len Romanski for the past 29 years.

After the start of on-going training, the dream of owning a unique shoe store came to be, in 1980.

The first location on 8th Street was soon out-grown and a move to Broadway Avenue enabled growth in both the orthopedic field and high quality comfort shoes.

Today

Further training and working closely with the medical profession has encouraged Foster's continued growth, now with a trained staff of seven — including Roberta, Sarri, Ron, Sam, and Hartley — as well as a full orthopedic repair shop.

A big factor in the success of Foster's Shoes has been our perseverance and desire to help people stay active by walking and regular exercise, which can not be achieved with sore aching feel. Our customers are most valuable to us coming in as strangers, leaving as friends.

We are proud lo hold a special week each September when we invite our podiatrists, therapists, and customers to join us for Foot Care Week.
